National Awards for Persons with Disabilities were announced in December 2023.
The title of best male athlete in the year 2023 has been given to Sumit Antil.
Sumit Antil is a javelin thrower.
Sumit Antil has also been honored with the Khel Ratna Award in the year 2021.
The title of Best Female Athlete of the Year 2023 has been awarded to Sheetal Devi.
Sheetal Devi is an archer.
Sheetal has also recently been selected for the Arjuna Award 2023.
Swimmer Murlikant Petkar has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Muralikant won the gold medal in the 1972 Paralympics.
The best coach award has been given to para-badminton coach Gaurav Khanna.
'Indian Blind Chess Team' has been honored with the Major Dhyan Chand Team of the Year Award.
