Sagar Parikrama has been started from Chennai port in January 2024.
This is the 10th phase of Sagar Parikrama.
This parikrama was started by Union Minister Parshottam Rupala and Union Minister of State Dr. L. Murugan jointly.
This phase of Sagar Parikrama is being organized in Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry.
The first phase of Sagar Parikrama was started in March 2022.
Till now 9 phases have been completed.
Sagar Parikrama is a testament to the transformative power of visionary leadership for the welfare of the fishing community and coastal development.
The objective of Sagar Parikrama is to promote fisheries and disseminate information about various schemes and programs related to fisheries.
