Randhir Jaiswal is an Indian Foreign Service officer.
He has been appointed as the new spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in January 2024.
He has replaced Arvind Bagchi on this post.
Arvind Bagchi has been appointed India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva.
Jaiswal previously served as the Consul General of India in New York.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs is the official person of the Government of India who communicates the government's views on foreign affairs to the public.
