The Union Cabinet has recently increased the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
This scheme will be applicable for the next 5 years from January 1, 2024.
Under this scheme, 5 kg of free food items are provided to the people every month.
This will benefit 81.35 crore poor people.
Now this scheme will continue till the year 2028.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was started in the year 2020.

Recently Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana has been extended for the next 5 years
