Recently, Parliament has passed a proposal to increase the age of the Chairman and members of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal.
This GST (Second Amendment) Bill.
The Lok Sabha had earlier approved this bill.
GSTAT in the bill There is a provision to increase the upper age limit for the Chairman and Members to 70 years and 67 years respectively.
Earlier this age limit for the Chairman and Members was 67 years and 65 years respectively.
Bill CGST The provisions of Sections 109 and 110 of the Act were brought in line with the provisions of the Tribunals Reform Act, 2021.
