In December 2023, Manipur has launched SAANS campaign for prevention of pneumonia.
Its name is SAANS.
Its full name is Social Awareness and Action to Neutralize Pneumonia Successfully.
This campaign was started from Imphal.
Manipur Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh flagged off this campaign.
Pneumonia is a common, preventable and treatable disease if precautionary measures are taken at the right time.
