Indian Space Research Organization has recently successfully tested Polymer Electrolyte Membrane fuel-based power system.
This is a 100-watt class membrane-based fuel cell.
It is designed to successfully deliver energy to a payload.
It was launched on PSLV-C58.
This fuel cell has been designed by Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC).
Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell-based power system is also called POEM 3.
This fuel cell is a precursor to a future energy option for space stations.
