  • Indian Space Research Organization has recently launched XPoSat.
  • XPoSat stands for – X-ray Polarimeter Satellite.
  • It will study pulsars, black holes, galaxies and radiation etc.
  • XPoSat launched by PSLV – C58.
  • XPoSat has a life span of 5 years.
  • The telescope installed in it has been made by Raman Research Institute.
  • This satellite will study the 50 brightest sources of the universe.
  • Like- Pulsar, Black Hole X-ray Binary, Active Galactic Nuclei, Non-thermal Supernova.
  • This satellite was deployed at a height of 650 km.
  • satellite has two payloads.
  • First – POLIX and second – XSPECT.
