Indian Space Research Organization has recently launched XPoSat.
XPoSat stands for – X-ray Polarimeter Satellite.
It will study pulsars, black holes, galaxies and radiation etc.
XPoSat launched by PSLV – C58.
XPoSat has a life span of 5 years.
The telescope installed in it has been made by Raman Research Institute.
This satellite will study the 50 brightest sources of the universe.
Like- Pulsar, Black Hole X-ray Binary, Active Galactic Nuclei, Non-thermal Supernova.
This satellite was deployed at a height of 650 km.
satellite has two payloads.
First – POLIX and second – XSPECT.
