Indramani Pandey is a senior Indian diplomat.
In January 2024, he has assumed the post of Secretary General of BIMSTEC.
The full name of BIMSTEC is Bay of Bengal Initiative for Economic Cooperation.
He is the fourth Secretary General of BIMSTEC.
His appointment has been made for three years.
He replaces Bhutan's Tenzin Lekfel.
Before this, Indramani Pandey had been India's permanent representative to the United Nations.
BIMSTEC is an international organization of South Asian and Southeast Asian countries.
It was established in the year 1997.
Its members are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
