Firozabad is a district located in Uttar Pradesh.
It is bordered by Etah, Etawah and Mainpuri districts.
Recently the proposal to change the name of Firozabad to 'Chandnagar' has been approved.
This approval was granted by the Municipal Corporation.
Now this proposal has been sent to the state government.
In the year 1566 AD, there was the kingdom of Raja Chandrasen in Firozabad.
This place is called Chandranagar after his name.
Before the Mughal rule, Firozabad was the kingdom of Raja Chandrasen.
During the time of Akbar, Firoz Shah was sent here to end the terror of robbers.
Later, the name of this district became Firozabad after the name of Firozshah.
