Recently, approval has been given for the acquisition of Goindwal Sahib Limited by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited.
This approval has been given by the Competition Commission of India.
After the acquisition, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited will hold 100% stake in Goindwal Sahib Limited.
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited was established in the year 1959.
It is a statutory body under the Electricity Supply Act, 1948.
Goindwal Sahib Limited was established in the year 1997.
The approval of the Competition Commission of India is mandatory for any acquisition.
