  • Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme is a scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism.
  • Recently 30 cities of the country have been included in this scheme.
  • These 30 cities are from 15 states/union territories.
  • The cities of Amritsar and Kapurthala in Punjab have been included in this scheme.
  • Earlier in the year 2018-19, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Chamkaur Sahib, Firozpur, Khatkar Kalan, Patiala and Kalanaur were selected in this scheme.
  • Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Central Government aims to make the visit of tourists pleasant and memorable by providing better infrastructure facilities in cities of historical and religious importance.
  • Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme was launched in January, 2023.
