Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme is a scheme of the Union Ministry of Tourism.
Recently 30 cities of the country have been included in this scheme.
These 30 cities are from 15 states/union territories.
The cities of Amritsar and Kapurthala in Punjab have been included in this scheme.
Earlier in the year 2018-19, Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Chamkaur Sahib, Firozpur, Khatkar Kalan, Patiala and Kalanaur were selected in this scheme.
Swadesh Darshan Scheme of the Central Government aims to make the visit of tourists pleasant and memorable by providing better infrastructure facilities in cities of historical and religious importance.
Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme was launched in January, 2023.
