  • The three-day Rajkiya Itkhori Mahotsav commenced in Jharkhand’s Chatra district, inaugurated by Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore in the presence of other state leaders. The festival celebrates the cultural and spiritual heritage of Itkhori, especially the historic Bhadrakali Temple.
  • During the ceremony, the official website of the temple and a coffee table book on its history were launched to boost religious tourism. Cultural performances by local artists marked the opening day, showcasing Jharkhand’s rich folk traditions. The state government aims to develop Itkhori as a major spiritual tourism hub while preserving its syncretic Hindu, Buddhist and Jain heritage.
