Quick commerce companies, including Blinkit, Zepto, Zomato and Swiggy have reportedly decided to phase out the 10-minute delivery option from their platforms following intervention by Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Gig and platform workers had staged a one-day strike on December 31, demanding an end to ultra-fast deliveries due to safety and health concerns. A senior official said the issue was discussed at a recent meeting between the minister and the aggregators. The move aims to improve safety, security, and working conditions for gig workers. In line with this, Blinkit has updated its tagline from “10,000+ products delivered in 10 minutes” to “30,000+ products delivered at your doorstep.”
