  • Punjab has become the first state in the country to do so.
  • All accident-prone areas of the state have been uploaded on the navigation system Maples App.
  • This initiative is part of the 'Road Safety Force' initiative of the Punjab Government.
  • The app will provide voice alerts in Punjabi language in accident-prone areas, giving passengers timely warning about upcoming black spots.
  • Passengers will get this alert even before the black spot is 100 meters away.
