In January 2024, Punjab has mapped all the accident-prone areas of the state in the navigation system.
Punjab has become the first state in the country to do so.
All accident-prone areas of the state have been uploaded on the navigation system Maples App.
This initiative is part of the 'Road Safety Force' initiative of the Punjab Government.
The app will provide voice alerts in Punjabi language in accident-prone areas, giving passengers timely warning about upcoming black spots.
Passengers will get this alert even before the black spot is 100 meters away.
