The government has once again appointed Priyank Kanungo as the chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).
According to the gazette notification issued by the government, Kanungo's new term will start from October 17 and he will discharge this responsibility for a period of three years or till further orders.
Kanungo was appointed chairman of the commission in 2018.
Kanungo originally hails from Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh and has been working in the field of education and child rights for a long time.
