On January 24 of 2024, Presidential of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly Denis Francis met Indian President Ms. Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Welcoming the Speaker of the General Assembly to India, the President appreciated his authoritative steps, including climate change and women's empowerment.
President Murmu agreed to ensure the theme chosen for the Presidency of the 78th UN General Assembly is "Rebuilding and Regaining Confidence Around the World".
