  • The Indian Air Force inducted the first batch of made-in-India light combat helicopters, which would be called 'Prachand'.
  • This helicopter has been inducted at the airbase located in Jodhpur.
  • The light combat helicopters have been developed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
  • With a minimum range of 500 metres, its Mistral can hit air targets up to 6.5 km.
