The award was presented by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during an official ceremony.
The ‘Mitra Vibhushan’ is the 22nd international honour conferred upon PM Modi by a foreign nation.
This reflects his global stature and recognition.
As of April 5, 2025, PM Modi has received the highest civilian awards from 22 countries.
This is a record unmatched by any previous Indian Prime Minister, showcasing India’s rising global influence.
