Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Jammu's new railway division on 6 January 2025 via video conference. Along with this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many projects related to railways.
The Union Railway Ministry decided to set up the 69th railway division in Jammu, which will be under the Northern Railway zone and will manage the 742.1 km network. At present, there are 17 zones and 68 divisions of railways in the country.
