  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mahakal Lok corridor at Mahakaleshwar temple in Madhya Pradeshs Ujjain city.
  • The Mahakal Lok corridor, measuring more than 900 metres in length, is expected to boost Madhya Pradeshs tourism. The project was built at the cost of around Rs 850 crore and will allow the pilgrims visiting the temple to experience world-class amenities.
  • The 'Mahakal Lok' corridor, more than 900-metre-long, has been built around the old Rudrasagar Lake, which has also been revived, and the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the 12 'jyotirlingas' in the country that attracts lakhs of  devotees.
  • Two gateways -- Nandi Dwar and Pinaki Dwar -- have been erected near the starting point of the corridor.
