  • The NITI Aayog has released the Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2024, a comprehensive framework designed to assess the export readiness of India’s States and Union Territories. The index evaluates the capacity of regions to promote and sustain exports by analysing policy, infrastructure, business ecosystem, and export performance.
  • The EPI is aligned with India’s ambition of achieving USD 1 trillion in merchandise exports by 2030. It is structured around four key pillars, which are further divided into 13 sub-pillars and 70 indicators, providing a detailed and data-driven assessment of export competitiveness across the country.
