  • The first night navigation mobile application in rivers in the country was launched for ferries on Brahmaputra River in Assam.
  • The mobile application was inaugurated with the help of a system-equipped inland water transport ferry whose night journey included Guwahati and North Guwahati, departed at 9 pm and the return journey also completed in about an hour.
  • The night navigation mobile application was developed by the transport department in association with K Raju, the principal scientist of IIT Madras.
