MoU has been signed with National Remote Sensing Center for Green Cover Index in January 2024.
This agreement has been done by the National Highway Authority of India.
This agreement has been made for 3 years.
The findings of the Green Cover Index will facilitate comparison and determining the ranking of different National Highways.
With its help, more improvements can be made in time.
Green cover will be estimated for every 1 km length of National Highways.
National Remote Sensing Center works under ISRO.
Its headquarters is located in Hyderabad.
