  • New York’s Senate has confirmed Judge Rowan Wilson (62) as the new chief judge of the Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.
  • Wilson has been an associate judge of the Court of Appeals, New York’s highest court, since 2017.
  • He was appointed by the 57th governor of New York, Kathy Hochul.
  • He studied at Harvard College and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1984.
  • He will be eligible to serve through 2031, when he reaches the state’s mandatory retirement age of 70.
