Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired the seventh meeting of the Island Development Agency in New Delhi on 3 January 2025. In which the all-round development of Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep, employment generation, and market access to resources were discussed.
The meeting emphasized on better connectivity to the islands through roads and mobile connectivity, as well as measures to deal with natural disasters such as water level rise and tsunami.
