  • India, Nepal, and Bangladesh have signed a tripartite agreement to export 40 megawatts of power from Nepal to Bangladesh through India's power grid. 
  • As per the agreement, Nepal will export its surplus power to Bangladesh via India from June 15 to November 15 every year. 
  • India will arrange for power supply to Bangladesh from Nepal. In the first phase, Nepal will export 40 MW of hydropower through Indian territory to Bangladesh.
