India, Nepal, and Bangladesh have signed a tripartite agreement to export 40 megawatts of power from Nepal to Bangladesh through India's power grid.
As per the agreement, Nepal will export its surplus power to Bangladesh via India from June 15 to November 15 every year.
India will arrange for power supply to Bangladesh from Nepal. In the first phase, Nepal will export 40 MW of hydropower through Indian territory to Bangladesh.
