National Post Day is celebrated every year on October 10, following World Post Day on October 9, to recognize the invaluable role of the Indian postal department over the last 150 years. Established in 1854, the postal department delivers mail, money orders, savings schemes, and pensions. India has 23 postal circles and 9 zones with a 6-digit PIN system, ensuring efficient service nationwide.
