Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become the first Indian Prime Minister to address the Knesset plenum during his two-day Israel visit beginning February 25, 2026. The visit, described as “historic” by Benjamin Netanyahu, marks a new milestone in India–Israel relations.
Narendra Modi will hold high-level talks with Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog, focusing on security, defence technology, innovation and regional cooperation. The special parliamentary session at the Knesset symbolizes deepening strategic ties between the two democracies.
India and Israel, which established diplomatic relations in 1992, have expanded cooperation in defence, agriculture, water management and trade. Addressing the Knesset plenum is considered a high diplomatic honour, highlighting the growing global importance of India–Israel relations.
