  • The Girgaon chowpatty viewing deck was inaugurated on Sunday by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. 
  • After the Dadar Chowpatty deck, which was inaugurated on February 9, this is the second sea-viewing deck in the city.
  • The idea was initiated before the opening of the first one and the actual work started in September 2021. The deck is constructed on the stormwater drainage (SWD), as is the Shivaji Park deck.
