  • The Madhya Pradesh government has declared 258.64 square kilometers of forest area in Sagar district as the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Wildlife Sanctuary, just before the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar on April 14.
  • With this declaration, Madhya Pradesh now has a total of 25 wildlife sanctuaries, adding to its reputation for tiger sanctuaries, including the newly established Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Wildlife Sanctuary in the northern Sagar Forest Division.
