  • On April 7, 2025, the Supreme Court of India and the Supreme Court of Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop, promote, and strengthen judicial cooperation between the two countries.
  • The MoU was signed in the presence of the Chief Justice of India, Justice Sanjiv Khanna; the Chief Justice of Nepal, Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut; and the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal.
  • This MoU provides an institutional framework to further enhance judicial cooperation between both sides, including areas such as training and capacity building, regular exchanges, and sharing of best practices.
