The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) launched a new logo and its first official mascot, ‘Sankhyiki (सांख्यिकी)’, in New Delhi to modernise its institutional identity and enhance public outreach. Aligned with the theme “Data for Development”, the initiative highlights the role of reliable statistics in evidence-based policymaking. While the logo symbolises transparency, growth and analytical rigour, the mascot aims to make complex statistical concepts citizen-friendly and promote statistical literacy.
