  • The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways launched the PRISM-SG Portal (Portal for Rail-Road Inspection and Stages Management – Steel Girders) in New Delhi to streamline approvals and inspections for Road Over Bridges (ROBs) and railway bridges.
  • The digital platform digitizes end-to-end processes, including submission of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Welding Procedure Specification Sheets (WPSS), fabrication inspections, and real-time monitoring with audit trails. It integrates stakeholders like road departments, Indian Railways, contractors, and inspectors for better coordination. The portal is expected to reduce approval timelines from 12 months to 3-4 months, accelerating infrastructure projects and enhancing transparency in bridge construction.
