Mega North India Startup Expo started organizing in January 2024.
This startup expo is being organized in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.
This expo was inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
The theme of this Startup Expo has been kept as 'Emerging Startup Trends in North India'.
According to Union Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh, the number of startups in India has increased to more than 1.30 lakh today compared to around 350 startups in 2014.
The number of unicorns has exceeded 100.
India ranks third in the world in its startup ecosystem.
Startup India was launched in the country in January 2016.
