Marcha Paddy is a type of rice/paddy variety.
Marcha paddy is grown in West Champaran district of Bihar.
Recently this paddy was transferred to G. I. tag has been provided.
Marcha Paddy, which has a different shape from other paddy, is like black pepper.
This is why it is known as Mircha or Murcha Dhaan.
A special aroma coming from the grains and bunch of this rice makes it different from other paddy crops.
Marcha paddy has become the sixth produce of Bihar which has got I tag.
