  • Cmde S Sreekumar launched the 25T Bollard Pull Tug, named Bhishm, at M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd in Kolkata on January 14, 2024. The event marks a significant stride in the "Make in India" initiative.
  • Contracted under the "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" initiative, six 25T BP Tugs, including Bhishm, are being constructed by M/s TRSL, Kolkata.
  • These Tugs, built under the Indian Register of Shipping rules, will enhance operational support to the Indian Navy, aiding in berthing, un-berthing, firefighting, and limited Search and Rescue Operations.
