  • Earlier, Srivastava was a judge in Chhattisgarh Court.
  • He was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court in October, 2021.
  • Being a senior judge in the Rajasthan High Court, he was acting as the acting Chief Justice.
  • Now the collegium has recommended him to become the Chief Justice.
  • The appointment and transfer of judges to the High Courts and the Supreme Court is done by the Supreme Court Collegium.
  • The recommendation of the Collegium is approved by the President.
