M.M. Srivastava will be the new Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
Till now he was the acting Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium appointed has been M.M. Srivastava's name.
Earlier, Srivastava was a judge in Chhattisgarh Court.
He was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court in October, 2021.
Being a senior judge in the Rajasthan High Court, he was acting as the acting Chief Justice.
Now the collegium has recommended him to become the Chief Justice.
The appointment and transfer of judges to the High Courts and the Supreme Court is done by the Supreme Court Collegium.
The recommendation of the Collegium is approved by the President.
