  • Lt Col Swaroop Singh Kuntal of Indian Army won Ultraman India, a triathlon challenge, organised at Pong Dam in Himachal Pradesh by Delhi International Triathlon.
  • Ultraman India consisted of 10 kms swimming in Pong Dam, 424 kms cycling and 84 kms of running on hilly terrain. 
  • Lt Col Kuntal finished Ultraman India in 31 hrs and 28 mins. 
  • It was challenging due to 5,500 m elevation gain, hilly terrain and scorching heat temperature touching 35 degrees.
  • He was adjudged fastest Indian in Ironman Malaysia where he completed 3.8 kms swimming, 180 kms cycling and 42.2 kms running in 12 hrs and 14 mins.
