  • Lakshya Sen has won the men's singles title at the Indian Open 2022. Lakshya Sen, 20, defeated reigning world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore 24-22, 21-17 to clinch his maiden India Open title.
  •  This is the first time that Lakshya Sen has managed to win the Super 500 title in his career.
  • In the women's singles final of the tournament, Busanan Ongbarungphan of Thailand defeated compatriot Supanida Katethong to claim the title.
  • Chirag-Satwik star Indian pair has won the doubles title of India Open 2022. They defeated the pair of Mohammad Ahsan and Hedra Setiawan 21-16, 26-24 in straight sets. 
  • With this, the pair of Chirag-Satwik has now become the first Indian men's team to win the India Open title.
