The central government appointed veteran banker KV Kamat as the chairperson of the newly formed Rs 20,000 crore development finance institution NABFID (National Financial Infrastructure and Development Bank).
The objective of the Center is to provide investment to the infrastructure sector facing fund crunch through this initiative.
Parliament had approved the NABFID Bill, 2021 in March this year.
This bank will provide financial help to the infrastructure sector in India for a long time.
