The first Kho Kho World Cup began on 13 January 2025 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Delhi, which was inaugurated by Sudhanshu Mittal, President of the Kho Kho Association of India.
The tournament saw participation from 20 men's and women's teams from 19 countries, with India's men's team led by Prateek Waikar and women's team led by Priyanka Ingle.
