Khelo India Winter Games 2024 to be inaugurated at NDS Stadium, Leh on February 2 by Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur.
First-time event hosted in Union Territory of Ladakh, showcasing ice hockey and speed skating from February 2-6, followed by Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir from February 21-25.
Snow leopard chosen as mascot, named 'Sheen-e She', representing the region's biodiversity and high-mountain environment.
Logo features Indian tricolor and Dharmachakra, symbolizing the uniqueness of the landscape and diversity of sports.
Ladakh to host ice hockey and speed skating, while Jammu & Kashmir will feature ski mountaineering, Alpine skiing, snowboarding, Nordic ski, and gandola.
Khelo India Winter Games aligned with PM Modi's Khelo India Mission to promote Olympic sports and nurture talented athletes.
