  • Kerala set a Guinness world record by kicking 4500 penalty shots within 12 hours under the 'Dream goal Penalty shootout' programme organized by the Kerala Sports Department at Manjeri Payyanad stadium.
  • The world record was achieved by Kerala through Malappuram district after breaking Germany's record of 2500 goals within 12 hours.
  • All the goals were kicked in between 0700 to 1900 hrs and the inaugural kick was taken by former Indian Footballer U Sharaf Ali and the 4500th kick was taken by Kerala Sports Minister V Abu Rahiman.
