Shri Ashish Naithani, Judicial Officer, has been appointed as a permanent judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, thereby filling up one of the 5 vacancies running in the sanctioned strength of 11 judges.
The appointment was approved by the President of India on 6th January 2025, bringing relief to the High Court, which was functioning with only 6 judges.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the collegium headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna on December 22.
