  • In Jharkhand, HUL DIWAS is celebrated annually on June 30 to honor tribal leaders Sidhu-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairav, and Phoolo-Jhano, who led the Hul Rebellion of 1855 against British rule. The day commemorates their sacrifice and contributions to India's independence movement.
  • During the celebrations, Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Champai Soren, and other dignitaries paid homage to the tribal freedom fighters at Bhognadih in Sahibganj, where the main function was held. 
  • The occasion included the inauguration of developmental schemes worth over ₹300 crore, underscoring the state's commitment to honoring and promoting the legacy of these brave heroes.
