Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Santosh Jha and Sri Lanka's Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Hinduuma Sunil Senevi announced the renaming of the cultural centre in Jaffna as 'Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre'.
The decision has been taken as a tribute and honour to Thiruvalluvar, the great Tamil poet and philosopher.
