  • Laxmi Singh, a 2000-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Noida's new Police Commissioner and has become the state's first female Police Commissioner. 
  • Laxmi Singh who is a 2000-batch officer has replaced Alok Singh.
  • Singh has previously served as the Inspector General of Police for Lucknow range and was also responsible for pacifying protesting farmers following the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. 
  • She has also received a silver baton from PM Narendra Modi.
