Laxmi Singh, a 2000-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Noida's new Police Commissioner and has become the state's first female Police Commissioner.
Laxmi Singh who is a 2000-batch officer has replaced Alok Singh.
Singh has previously served as the Inspector General of Police for Lucknow range and was also responsible for pacifying protesting farmers following the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.
She has also received a silver baton from PM Narendra Modi.
