  • President Draupadi Murmu has awarded the cleanest states and cities of Azadi@75 Swachh Survekshan 2022 in New Delhi.
  • The award ceremony was attended by many dignitaries from across the country, and more than 160 awards were given in various categories.
  • Indore became the cleanest city in the country; Surat got second place.
  • In the category of large states, first prize for Swachh Survekshan Gramin went to Telangana, second to Haryana and third to Tamil Nadu.
  • In the Small States and Union Territories category, Andaman and Nicobar got the first prize, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu got the second and Sikkim got the third prize.
